Uveitis (inflammation inside the eyes)

Uveitis is inflammation inside the eye and specifically refers to inflammation of the uveal tract, a layer that includes the iris, ciliary body, and choroid.  If untreated, uveitis can cause damage to vital eye structures, leading to permanent vision loss.

Patients with uveitis may develop sudden pain and redness in their eyes, as well as floaters, light sensitivity, and blurry vision.
